We recommend all babies should have their first dental visit when their first tooth comes in. This is to educate the parents on oral homecare and get the child starting to feel comfortable in a dental office setting. Here at Enamel, we have many young children who enjoy coming to see the dentist while enjoying some TV and sitting on the moving chair.
It is very important to keep deciduous (baby) teeth in good health as a large cavity on a baby tooth can lead to premature tooth loss or dangerous abscess. However, not all cases need filling depending on the child’s age and oral hygiene condition. If extensive works are needed or if your child has difficulty cooperating, we are always happy to make the appropriate referral to a pediatric dental facility to restore their dental health.
